Information systems to support communication

students and teachers use university e-mail for communication https://www.ukf.sk/helpdesk/elektronicka-posta

Information systems (IS)

1. The Academic Information System (AIS) is used to record comprehensive information about the study program - study plans, information sheets, SAPCH employees, records and information about the course of study - admission procedure, student and teacher hours, course and results of studies, final theses , state exams. The evaluation of education and teachers by students is also carried out through an anonymous questionnaire published in AIS. Through AIS, data is provided to the Central Register of Students and the Central Register of Final Theses. At the management level, AIS serves as a source for reporting teaching and for measuring the educational performance of workplaces and their employees. The information gathered in AIS also serves as a basic source for accreditation and study offer creation.

2. Videoconferencing system (meet.sk) - https://meet.ukf.sk/ - serves to ensure distance learning, examination and evaluation of students, including the implementation of state exams, online consultations and other activities related to the study.

3. Accommodation is solved through a separate module UIS (Accommodation system, https://uis.ukf.sk/) and secured by connection with AIS and LDAP of the university.

4. Library Information System (LIS) https://kis.ukf.sk/opacXE - ensures the activities of the university library. The record of publishing activities is operated within the library information system, while it allows access to personnel publishing activities for each employee both at the level of insertion and at the level of obtaining publication and citation outputs. The obtained data serve as a source for the evaluation of employees and workplaces in the field of publishing performance and at the same time represent a source for the Central Register of Publishing Activities.

5. The document management system (DOC) serves as an authorized zone for university staff and students and together with the intranet part of the website provides access to current documents (internal regulations of the university and faculties, forms, decisions of the rector, deans (eg in the field of scholarships)) , software (licensed and freely available), working materials of management components, etc.

6. E-learning portal (EDU) https://edu.ukf.sk/ - serves as a full-fledged replacement for the full-time form of teaching. It serves students, teachers, researchers as well as the management of individual departments of the faculty.

7. CPU portal - which consists of several modules that contain data on the basic characteristics of the employee displayed in the public directory of employees, performance indicators of publishing, artistic, project and other activities of the employee.

8. Registry (https) - https://uis.ukf.sk/

9. Catering system - https://www.stravovanie.ukf.sk/

10. Order system (OSYS) - https://osys.ukf.sk:4443/osys/users/login/?u=%2Fosys%2F

11. Attendance system (Watt) - https://watt.ukf.sk/

12. Employee Portal (ESS) - https://portal.ukf.sk/kvalita/index.php?r=site/login

13. Web mail for staff and students- https://posta.ukf.sk/webmail/

14. University website - https://www.ukf.sk/

All information systems communicate with the user through a secure channel. In order to simplify access and minimize the possibility of access data theft, central authentication has been deployed, which stores access data of employees and students via LDAP and enables their verification upon request from all information systems.

The system is connected to the financial and personnel system (SOFIA) so that the employee is automatically blocked access to the systems and facilities of the university upon termination of employment and, conversely, access is created upon acceptance.

An important step presenting the university level was to get involved in the Eduroam project, the basic idea of which is to allow students and academic staff to connect to a computer network in another academic institution without having to register or obtain access data. Connecting to the network requires only the username and password that the user uses in the home institution. We anticipate use by both university visitors and our students and staff. The presentation of the university on the outside is provided by its website.

c) - Characteristics and extent of distance education applied in the study programme with the assignment to courses. Access, manuals of e-learning portals. Procedures for the transition from contact teaching to distance learning.

The CPU e-learning portal is automatically accessible to all CPU students and teachers, provides support for all courses and the sharing of study materials for students, easy submission of assignments and assignments, clear communication in forums and sophisticated online knowledge testing.

The CPU e-learning portal is prepared as a full-fledged replacement for the full-time form of study. Provides the latest version of LMS Moodle. Each teacher can create their own courses, supplement study materials, collect student assignments, test students online and communicate with them. Students enter the system with the same login details as AIS. The teacher through the faculty administrator establishes a course for the course he teaches. The CPU e-learning portal provides students with access to study materials, watching video from lectures, participating in online feedback, being notified of upcoming dates, monitoring study progress, communicating via messages, sending e-mails, submitting assignments via PC, mobile and tablet, discussion of projects, lectures, testing of acquired knowledge. The portal provides teachers with a space for publishing study materials to students, an easy way to share interesting links in the form of links, videos, texts, monitoring student activities, interactive use of activities directly in the lecture using Moodle mobile applications, defining deadlines. For researchers and management, the portal provides verification of new approaches and forms of teaching, monitoring of feedback, space for pedagogical experiment, space for solving educational projects, data on students' preferences and behavior, data visualization, reporting.

The communication tool for the implementation of distance education at CPU is the video conferencing system Jitsy Meet. It does not require registration to use it, teachers and students log in to the system using a username and password, which they also use in other CPU information systems.

e) - Characteristics of the possibilities for social, sports, cultural, spiritual and social activities.

Nitra is said to be a university town for young people. This is due to the fact that it is home to two universities - Constantine the Philosopher University and the Slovak University of Agriculture, where a total of approximately 13,500 students study in one academic year. Nitra is one of the oldest Slovak towns, the beginnings of its settlement date back to prehistoric times, as documented by numerous archaeological finds in the city. It was the seat of the Principality of Nitra and survived its greatest glory in the times of the Great Moravian Empire. The work of Prince Pribina, King Svätopluk and the arrival of the Thessalonian brothers Constantine and Methodius are connected with Nitra. That is why university life is an intersection of historical traditions and modern trends of contemporary life. There are many cultural institutions, galleries, museums, theaters and cinemas in Nitra, as well as restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, which provide adequate space for students' social life. Detailed information about the history, monuments and other facts and current social realities about the city are published on the website of the City of Nitra (https://www.nitra.sk/) and the Tourist Information Center Nitra https://www.nitra.eu/).

Characteristics of spiritual possibilities

Among Slovak cities, Nitra boasts the oldest monuments of Christian religious culture, in this city, Prince Pribin of Nitra had the first Christian church in our territory consecrated around 828, the remains of which were discovered by archaeologists on Martinský vrch. In Nitra, the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Nitra, more remarkable objects have been built throughout history, especially of Christian sacral architecture, including churches, which provide adequate opportunities for spiritual life for all religions. In addition, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra has its own University Pastoral Center.

The Pavel Strauss University Pastoral Center in Nitra (UPC) was opened at UKF in December 2008. Its main goal is to provide pastoral care and spiritual assistance to students and staff of Nitra universities, institutions and student homes.

UPC organizes regular formation, religious, cultural and leisure activities. It focuses primarily on spiritual renewal, complementing academic education with a Christian dimension, providing spiritual guidance, counseling, and creating space for friendly meetings of believing and seeking students and staff. It organizes lectures and discussions in theology, culture and other disciplines in order to lead a dialogue between faith, science and culture. It provides media for the spiritual, human and social development of the personality, through a library, audio and video archive with religious and other topics. UPC's website is www.upcnitra.sk.

10. - Feedback on the quality of provided education
a) - Procedures for monitoring and evaluating students' opinions on the study programme quality.

Part of the evaluation of the quality of education provided are students who are involved in the process of creating, approving and monitoring study programs. Persons responsible for the implementation, development and quality of study programs, teachers, study advisors actively communicate with students of individual study programs, re-evaluate their attitudes to study programs, study courses. Subsequently, the reflection of students becomes the starting point for innovation of the content and structure of study programs through the innovation of recommended resources, conditions for completing the course.

CPU students have in accordance with Act no. 131/2002 on higher education institutions, the possibility to evaluate the study program and the educational process once a year by means of anonymous questionnaires. This student's right is also incorporated in the CPU Study Regulations and is guided by Directive no. 8/2018 Principles of evaluation of education and teachers by university students. Students provide feedback through an anonymous electronic questionnaire made available through the Academic Information System. Assessment has been carried out continuously since 2014. Students have the opportunity in the winter and summer semesters to express their attitudes to the following quality indicators of the educational process: study program, study course, implementation of education, evaluation of students by teachers, professional and didactic competence of teachers, study resources to support education students, material and technical provision of teaching. Each area is saturated with several items in the questionnaire, which provide a more comprehensive picture of the evaluated area. The organization of the evaluation process is ensured by individual faculties in cooperation with students who participate in the evaluation of results. At the Faculty of Education, CPU, activation for assessment by students in AIS is provided through student e-mails from the position of a member of the student part of the academic senate.

The adopted measures as well as the overall results of the evaluation of education are discussed by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Education, UKF, are part of the Annual Report of the faculty presented at the meeting of the academic community, scientific board and published on its website.

EVALUATION OF EDUCATION AND TEACHERS BY FE CPU STUDENTS

https://www.pf.ukf.sk/sk/qa-kvalita

FE CPU ANNUAL REPORT

https://www.pf.ukf.sk/sk/uradna-tabula/vyrocne-spravy

The key comments and identified shortcomings represent a source of measures to improve the quality of education at FE. In addition to innovations in the content of study programs, recommended literature, improvement of material and information security, one of the measures taken was, for example, in 2018 the appointment of a faculty schedule coordinating the creation of individual study group schedules, in 2020 participation in the ESF project CPU in Nitra aimed at supporting an increase in the number of teaching hours of students and others.

c) - Results of graduate feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

The university obtains information about the success of its graduates by using several forms. Through the alumni club, the organization of further education and rigorous procedures for graduates. Many graduates of the study program work as professors, associate professors and assistant professors not only at FE CPU but also at several universities in Slovakia.
