The composition of the doctoral study plan is determined by the intention to achieve relevant educational results as they are specified in the general characteristics of the profile of the graduate. The basic philosophy of the study plan compiled in this way lies in its focus on developing a high culture of rational ethical argumentation of doctoral students and their ability to critically reconstruct and interpret scholarly texts. An integral part of this effort is both the inculcation and acquisition of high standards of ethics of academic work and the cultivation of the rhetorical, discursive and socio-cultural competencies of doctoral students.

Thanks to them, they are able to participate in consolidating and developing the principles of good scientific practice in various sectors of academic activity (including the good functioning of academic research communities, or specific domestic or international research teams). The study plan also places increased emphasis on the quality of academic writing of doctoral students, which would meet high standards for transparency and logical coherence of academic texts. In addition to the group of compulsory and optional courses, it is primarily the scientific part of the study plan (optional courses in the Ethics part) that serves to fulfill this intention. Participation in domestic or foreign scientific and professional events in turn becomes an opportunity for doctoral students to develop their ability to actively engage in enriching scientific or public policy discourses and to defend their position in a pluralistic environment of competitive positions and argumentation strategies.

In accordance with strategic and operational goals, the CPU employs the following systems, including their value added for managing, storing and evaluating information:

1.       Academic Information System (AIS2) – is currently used to record complex information about the study programme (study plans, course information sheets, academic profiles of teachers and student records, including their admission procedure, studies, final theses and state exams). The CPU also uses the AIS to prepare academic schedules and conduct student evaluations of programmes, teachers and studies. Data from the AIS are uploaded to the Central Register of Students, the Central Register of Theses and Dissertations and the register of universities - PortalVS.sk. At the management level, the AIS serves as a resource for reporting teaching activities and measuring the educational performance of departments/institutes and their offer of study programmes. The information collected in the AIS is the fundamental source of information for the accreditation and creation of the offer of study programmes.

2.       Document Management (DOC) - (document management system) serves as an authorized zone for employees and students of the university and, along with the intranet section of the website, provides access to current documents (internal regulations of the university and faculty, forms, decisions of the rector, deans, e.g., concerning scholarships, software (licensed and open-source), working materials of management units, etc).

3.       Education Portal (EDU) - https://edu.ukf.sk/

4.       Library Lnformation System (KIS) - https://edu.ukf.sk/

5.       University Information System (UIS) https://uis.ukf.sk/

6.       Catering Portal https://www.stravovanie.ukf.sk/

7.       Order Management System (oSYS) - https://osys.ukf.sk:4443/osys/users/login/?u=%2Fosys%2F

8.       Accommodation System (UIS) - https://uis.ukf.sk/

9.       Time and Attendance System (Watt) https://watt.ukf.sk/

10.    Employee Self-service Portal (ESS) - https://portal.ukf.sk/kvalita/index.php?r=site/login

11.    Web mail for employees and students - https://posta.ukf.sk/webmail/

12.    University website - https://www.ukf.sk/

All information systems communicate with the user through a secured channel. In order to simplify access and minimize the possibility of credential theft, a system of central authentication has been deployed. It stores the access data of employees and students via LDAP and enables their verification upon request from all information systems.

The system is linked to the financial and personnel system (SOFIA), and thus upon termination of employment the employee’s access to the information systems and facilities of the university is automatically denied and, vice-versa, granted upon onboarding.

Our participation in the Eduroam project represents a significant modernization, as this infrastructure enables students and academic staff to connect to a computer network at another academic institution without having to register or obtain additional credentials. Therefore, connecting to the network requires only the username and password that the user owns from the home institution. This network can be used by both university visitors and our students and staff. The main communication channel presenting and promoting the university is the university website.

CPU has built and continues to innovate its own ICT infrastructure and information systems (IS) that are integrated parts of information support processes with a focus on research, education and management. Their implementation and operation are managed by the University CIKT (Centre for ICT), ensuring compliance with the University long-term intentions and strategic goals. Regarding their application, individual technologies and systems are used as follows: project and task management (IS Projects, SAP system, MIS Performance indicators); teaching and improvement activities support provided at the level of knowledge management (KIS, University library databases, some educational materials are provided by faculty staff via e-learning courses); didactic support and improvement activities (available computer classrooms in each faculty); Internet access (all facilities are almost completely covered by wireless connection and all fixed computers provide Internet connection).

Interaction with students is ensured through AIS, e-mail communication, as well as web presentations of the university, its faculties and other organisational units. In selected periods, the University increasingly promotes its activities and study possibilities by means of print media, workshops and open days. Sharing and providing information at the level of educational content (e-learning, library services, and education management) is accessible nonstop through electronic services. All the university information systems are linked to the unified user management (LDAP) system, allowing access to all systems through the same credentials.

An example of minimizing the environmental burden is the electronic monitoring of time and attendance, incapacity for work, business trips and overtime using contactless chip cards or the Time and Attendance Software (WATT). Another example of minimizing the environmental burden is the Order Management System (oSYS), designed for internal procurement of goods and services within CPU through mass collection of information from individual organisational units with the possibility of approving individual orders in accordance with the hierarchical structure of CPU. Employees may access payslip or other information regarding remuneration in the ESS system.

c) - Characteristics and extent of distance education applied in the study programme with the assignment to courses. Access, manuals of e-learning portals. Procedures for the transition from contact teaching to distance learning.

Education Portal (EDU) https://edu.ukf.sk/

10. - Feedback on the quality of provided education
a) - Procedures for monitoring and evaluating students' opinions on the study programme quality.

The Department of General and Applied Ethics strives to continuously develop the quality of the study programme also through the feedback obtained from students. Monitoring and evaluation of the study programme by students is carried out at several levels: at the faculty / university level through AIS, at the department level through google forms and other forms in cooperation with the department management and guarantors, and at the level of the specific teacher of the study programme in various individualized ways.

Monitoring and evaluation of study programmes by students is carried out each year through student assessment questionnaires. The procedures for monitoring and evaluating students' opinions on the study programme quality are regulated by the Quality Assurance System at the Faculty of Arts, CPU. Periodic evaluation of teaching and teachers by students is accessible through AIS.

In addition to faculty monitoring of students' views through the AIS system, the Department of General and Applied Ethics also uses its own monitoring through anonymous questionnaires through the Google Forms system (relevant link on the department's website: http://kvae.web2v.ukf.sk/2021/11/02/hodnotenie-vzdelavania-ucitelovuciteliek-studentmistudentkami/). This allows students to give feedback at any time anonymously and they can freely express and reflect on the level of education provided in this study program. The questionnaire uses scaled and open-ended questions to comment on the quality of the study programme in general, its individual courses, the implementation of education, professional and didactic competencies of the teacher, the method of evaluating students and the use of information resources and material and technical support. Students are regularly invited to express their feedback and evaluate the study programme in each academic year and semester of study.

Furthermore, the Department also provides in-depth feedback from students in cooperation with guarantors, focused on the analysis of teaching and content of individual courses of the study programme and strengths and weaknesses of each teacher involved in the implementation of the study program, with a special focus on expertise, preparations for classes, comprehensibility of their oral presentation, approach to students, usability of acquired knowledge and skills, etc.

Students are instructed and encouraged, if necessary, to express feedback at any time and to reflect on individual aspects associated with the implementation of the study programme through tutors, department management and guarantors, depending on the nature of the problem.

In addition to departmental monitoring, individual teachers also receive individual feedback from students on the teaching of individual courses, which they provide within the study program. These feedbacks are usually given at the end of the lecture period, either in writing or orally. They focus directly on the content, methodology and personality of a particular teacher, satisfaction with lectures and seminar management. Students have the space to express their own suggestions, which according to them would contribute to the improvement of the teaching process and specific courses of the study program.

All methods of monitoring and evaluation of the study programme by students are based on informed consent and maintain the principle of anonymity and voluntariness, and in their implementation and processing of results the ethical standards related to it and the legislation of the GDPR are observed. Only authorized persons have access to the obtained data and the results are available according to their purpose and method of acquisition (individually by teachers, at the department level - for the overall evaluation of the study program, specific courses or teachers, etc., or within the faculty or university), with which the students are acquainted in advance.

b) - Results of student feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

The results of student feedback are analyzed at several levels of the faculty (Dean's Board, Scientific Council at the Faculty of Arts, Academic Senate at the Faculty of Arts, etc.), and they are communicated with stakeholders and published on the faculty's website, in the faculty's annual report (https://www.ff.ukf.sk/o-fakulte/vyrocne-spravy) and in the report on the evaluation of teaching and faculty teachers (https://www.ff.ukf.sk/organizacia-studia/hodnotenie-vyucby-a-pedagogov-studentmi).

At the level of the department in cooperation with the guarantors, these results are analysed together with those obtained through the department's own survey or a specific teacher and subsequently applied in order to increase the quality of the study program.

The results of the feedback are an important basis for improving the study program. Therefore, regular evaluation and revision of study programs is carried out not only by quality assurance bodies at the faculty and university level, but also by reflecting the evaluation of students in a specific study programme by the person responsible for the study programme - guarantors and co-guarantors, department management and department staff - study programme teachers.

The questionnaire survey of feedback within the department is regularly monitored and evaluated, and this also applies to other forms of mapping feedback from students of the study programme at the level of the department or teacher or subject of the study program. The results of the feedback are analysed and discussed, strengths and weaknesses are evaluated at meetings of the department and other working meetings of guarantors, management of the department and teachers of the study programme with recommended proposals for the implementation of modifications in the study program. Depending on their nature, they are either directly implemented in the study programme (changes in optional courses, content enrichment of courses, addition of new current literature, etc.) or after approval by the competent authorities (e.g. changes in compulsory and optional courses, etc.).

In relation to whether the feedback relates to the level of education provided as a whole within the study programme or to the teacher of the relevant study discipline, its results are directed to the relevant employee. At the level of teachers, personal interviews are conducted, where individualized feedback is given to the teacher. In cooperation with the management of the department, the guarantor and a specific teacher, measures to increase the quality of employees in the educational process as well as in the area of their systematic academic training are implemented on the basis of feedback from the department. The outputs of these meetings also serve teachers in their preparation for teaching in the next semester. Long-term feedback on individual teachers also provides the management of the department and the guarantor with materials for employee selection process.

Finding out the feedback is also carried out by the teachers themselves in relation to their teaching of individual courses. Individual feedback is evaluated by individual teachers independently and they also take special measures in their own teaching. The measures mainly concern the course of lectures and seminars.

At department meetings or other business meetings, the space is also dedicated to sharing teachers' teaching experiences and - as mentioned above - student feedback. The discussions mainly concern the approach to students and the way of incorporating the latest knowledge into the teaching process. Teachers evaluate the qualitative parameters of the implemented courses and, reflecting the opinions of students, there is a possible modification of the content of the subject or its further updating. Among other measures, teachers involved in the implementation of the study programme regularly update the content of courses, methodically innovate them and create study texts and other publications that serve as study literature for students of the study program.

c) - Results of graduate feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

The Department of General and Applied Ethics obtains feedback from graduates of the study programme through contact with graduates, its own research and, if possible, through graduates’ employers. In the case of doctoral graduates, there are also specific opportunities through scientific and professional events (conferences, seminars, trainings, etc.), also within the application in the university environment or in other educational and research institutions, etc.

The department uses an anonymous survey via the Google Forms system (the relevant publicly accessible link on the department's website: http://kvae.web2v.ukf.sk/2021/11/02/dotaznik-pre-absolventovabsolventky/) to monitor the feedback of graduates of the study program. The results of the feedback thus obtained from the graduates are continuously and regularly evaluated.

Feedback from graduates who work in practice often comes spontaneously. Through e-mail communication, graduates contact individual teachers in order to give them feedback, share their experiences, or ask for advice in their beginning practice, occasionally consult a professional problem, cooperate (e.g. in training courses), etc.

The methods of evaluating feedback and measures related to the results of feedback from graduates are similar to the feedback from students (evaluation at the level of management and guarantors and together with teachers at department meetings and other working meetings), with the difference that unlike feedback from students, graduates provide feedback directly from practice. Therefore, their suggestions and recommendations are valuable due to the practical application of the acquired knowledge and competencies in the study program. From this perspective, the relevant recommendations are discussed at the meetings of the department or other working meetings of teachers, management of the department and guarantors and they are subsequently incorporated into the study program. In particular, the implementation of current trends in the field into education, the current state of science and research in the relevant field, including methodological procedures, as well as the link to the requirements of practice are monitored.
