The ESCO classification, which identifies and categorises skills, competencies, qualifications and occupations relevant to the EU labour market, was also applied in the development of the study programme. Conceptually, the study programme was adapted/innovated in accordance with the needs of practice, therefore one of the main aspects in designing of the courses was the aspect of applicability of knowledge and competencies in real practice. The adaptation of the study programme is based on the need to take into account the evaluation of the SP by students and employers.

When compiling the study plan, it is necessary to take into account the description of the study field in which the given study programme is to be implemented.

The proposal for the amended study programme includes concrete expected educational outcomes – educational outcomes and meeting the specific needs for individual forms of study (full-time, part-time) and for methods of implementation (present, distance, combined). The study programme is designed to provide students with fundamental knowledge, skills and competencies through compulsory courses.

The profile courses of the study programme are compulsory or compulsory optional courses that are set to provide the student with the knowledge and skills that are essential to complete the study program. The profile courses represent the theoretical and methodological foundations in the particular educational area. Together with other educational activities offered to the student in the form of optional courses, they provide the student with access to the knowledge and skills essential for achieving the learning outcomes in the graduate profile and his/her personal and professional development.

In accordance with the Dublin Descriptors and the National Qualifications Framework, graduates of the study programme are awarded level 6 qualification (QQF 6). The study plan is developed by the programme committee (members of the programme committee: persons responsible for the implementation, development and quality assurance of the study programme) – main responsible person prof. The teachers of the course are responsible for preparing the course information sheet. When compiling the course information sheet, they must consider the learning outcomes for the entire study programme as well as well as the sequence of courses in the study plan. The requirements for successful completion of the course must be appropriate to the number of credits for the course. The course information sheets must be approved by the principal responsible for the study programme.

The study programme, the recommended study plan and the standard length of study are regulated according to the Higher Education Act. The study programme in accordance with the study regulations of the faculty adheres to the rules of the European system for the transfer and accumulation of credits and the student workload per academic year. It adheres to a set workload expressed in terms of the number of hours of contact teaching together with all activities necessary for the preparation and completion of the course. The number of credits for each course has been determined to reflect the level of difficulty of the course in relation to the concrete subject area and the manner in which the course is to be completed. The courses within the recommended study plan will enable the students to achieve the stated outcomes.

b) - The institution compiles the recommended study plans for individual study paths.

The recommended study plan with all information (credit evaluation, workload, form of teaching, assessment of learning outcomes, recommended year and semester) and course information sheets is given in the annexes. The study plan is divided into compulsory, compulsory optional and optional courses, with information on the required credit endowment for each block, so that the student can choose his/her own path of study.

c) - The study plan generally states:

The Regional Tourism study programme is composed of profile courses concentrated in the block of compulsory courses, but also of other courses included in the block of compulsory and compulsory optional courses, the inclusion of which is conditioned by the mission of the faculty and the department.

The block of compulsory courses is based on the description of the study field and the description of the knowledge, skills and competencies that the graduate should possess in order to be able to fulfil the tasks arising from his/her future job. The concrete specification of the theoretical knowledge acquired in the profile courses is based on the description of the study field and is as follows: the study programme includes core topics related to economic theories with emphasis on the corporate level, and to regional tourism development.

-         in the field of economics, the student acquires knowledge of (1.) the basic foundations of economic thinking – macroeconomic and microeconomic regularities of the functioning of the economic system and its components, at the national and international level, with interactions on economic policy, regional, national and international political and economic relations (courses of Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, Tourism in Regional Development); the student acquires knowledge of (2.) the national and international economic environment and its regularities of functioning from the level of economic entities, industires and sectors, regional and national economies to the level of international economic communities, takint into account the effective legislation (courses: Theory of Tourism, Tourism Products, Economics of Tourism Business, Trends in Tourism), and will be able to appropriately apply this knowledge in practice in solving various standard economic problems; the student will be able to (3.) collect and evaluate economic information, will be able to apply qualitative and quantitative methods of evaluation of the current state, historical development and forecast of the economic system, its individual components and transactions (courses of Economic Mathematics, Economic Statistics; Marketing  Research);

The Regional Tourism study programme is a professionally oriented bachelor’s study programme designed to achieve the learning outcomes expected by employers, with an emphasis on developing practical professional skills in the social practice of tourism. An integrated part of the study plan in the block of compulsory courses is also a continuous professional practice of one semester in contracting companies, organisations and institutions involved in the practice of tourism in Slovakia and abroad. In the framework of the study programme, in 2014-2022, the training centre has established cooperation with various types of enterprises in the tourism sector (accommodation facilities, health resorts, travel agencies), public-private partnerships and organisations (regional tourism organisations, tourism information centres) and public tourism institutions (tourism departments of self-governing regions, local authorities, the Tourism Department at the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic, etc.), with which the university has concluded a framework cooperation agreement or a contract on students' professional practice. Based on the experience and suggestions of our students and professional practice partners from the employers of our graduates, we increased the duration of the continuous professional practice from the original 12 weeks (practice of one trimester) to 16 weeks (practice of one semester). The reason for this was the request of employers who consider a longer duration of professional practice to be beneficial not only for them, but especially for the students, who learn new skills more intensively through a longer practise and become better prepared and more competent for their future profession.

In terms of future employment, the compulsory optional courses aimed at developing knowledge, skills, and competencies are also important in the study plan and are included in three separate blocks: 1. Economics and Informatics; 2. Management 3. Foreign Languages. This structure allows students within each block to choose courses according to their own preferences, thus contributing to promote specialisation and student autonomy in deciding the path of their studies and future careers. The compulsory optional courses develop the graduates' ability to work effectively in a team, but also to assume an appropriate leadership position, to constantly add to their knowledge and to keep in touch with the latest developments in their field of activity and to develop professionally. The disciplines develop students' ability to solve practical economic and management tasks, present their solutions at a professional level, and to use foreign languages and information/communication technologies. Within the framework of compulsory optional courses, students participate in solving specific problems of the changing sectoral, regional, national and international economic environment of tourism.

The concept of the Regional Tourism study programme also emphasises the graduate’s transferable skills that are applicable in different environments, professions and in further studies. The study programme focuses on: the development of communication skills (high-level communication in at least one world language (English and/or German) and one regional language (Hungarian, Czech, Polish as optional courses); the ability to work in an intercultural/international environment; presentation skills (active presentation of the results of one’s own creative activity); thinking in contexts (cross-cutting and interdisciplinary contexts in the theory and practice of tourism as a socio-economic and spatial phenomenon); development of creativity (determining the goal of a task, finding solutions, innovation skills); development of independent and critical thinking (the ability to determine the relevance of information and sources); teamwork, motivation and team leadership skills, the ability to compare multiple contexts and draw conclusions; metacognitive skills related to managing a demanding study workload (planning the study/work, defining goals, analysing sources, finding solutions); digital skills (actively searching for information, determining its relevance, processing the data obtained, presentation and promotional activities in the context of online marketing, project presentations, etc.).

The profile courses contribute significantly to the achievement of the graduate profile and to the fulfilment of the objectives and outcomes of the professionally oriented study programme, which are consistent with the expected learning outcomes of employers in the tourism sector, with an emphasis on the development of students' practical professional skills. The language of instruction of the profile courses is Hungarian, Slovak and English. The language of instruction of the compulsory optional courses in the foreign language block is the respective world or regional language. The study ends with the defence of the final thesis, where the graduates also present their foreign language skills.

g) - Conditions for recognition of studies or a part of studies.

The organisation of all levels and forms of higher education at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is based on the credit system. The credit system of study at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra uses the accumulation and transfer of credits. The conditions for the recognition of studies or part of studies are sprecified in Decree No 614/2002 Coll., § 4 and 7 paragraph, and in the Study Regulations of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Articles 9, 11 and 20.

The credit system allows the student to choose the pace of study and the sequence of courses of the study programme, while maintaining the prescribed continuity. It also allows students to complete part of their study at home or abroad, while taking courses in such credit value and structure (compulsory, compulsory optional and optional courses), in accordance with the Study Regulations of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Article 11, paragraphs 3–5), that meet the requirements for continuation in each part of the study.

When enrolling in courses, preference is usually given to students for whom the course is compulsory and to students from other universities who are obliged to take the course by virtue of their study contract. It is only possible to deny a student enrollment in a compulsory optional course from another faculty if the students have not completed the prerequisite courses or for capacity reasons.

Detailed information on mobility (study stay or internship in an EU or EEA country) and credit recognition can be found in documents such as the Information for Students, the Study Contract Instruction in Slovak, and the Erasmus Student Charter in Slovak, which are available on the University website (https://www.ukf.sk/), but are also provided to students by the faculty and the department coordinator. At the Department of Tourism, the function of the Departmental Coordinator for Erasmus is held by PhDr. Zuzana Palenčíková, PhD.

The Faculty (Department for Science, Research, International Relations and Development of the Faculty of Central European Studies, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra) and the University (Department for International Relations of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra) have departments that coordinate and provide support for mobility programmes.

The Bachelor Thesis and its Defence is considered as a subject of the final state examinations. A detailed description of the procedure and competencies for the recognition of academic achievements can be found in the Methodological procedure for the administration of individual tasks connected with the administration of Erasmus+ mobility of students at the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, which is available on the website of the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra on international mobility (https://www.fss.ukf.sk/sk/medzinarodne-vztahy/erasmus). The procedure for recognition of credits earned by a student at another higher education institution is specified in the Study Regulations of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Article 20, paragraphs 6 and 7). The person appointed by the dean decides on the recognition of academic achievements. For the recognition of results, the student is obliged to submit to his/her faculty the original or an officially certified photocopy of the transcript of study results from another higher education institution. The transcript becomes part of the student's personal academic record. The Dean designee then enters the credits and course grades for the courses taken at the other institution into the student's AIS.

10. - Feedback on the quality of provided education
a) - Procedures for monitoring and evaluating students' opinions on the study programme quality.

Monitoring of the quality of the study programme is carried out once a year by means of an anonymous questionnaire survey.

The questions of the questionnaires are formulated in such a way that all ESG standards are assessed as far as possible.

The completed questionnaires are processed using the EvaSys system, which allows us to evaluate some areas also in comparison with the processed results from previous years.

As part of the survey, students can also anonymously point out possible negative phenomena and make suggestions for improving the conditions of study at FSŠ.

The questionnaire survey provides information on the following areas of study: study programme, study course, implementation of education, evaluation of students by the teacher, professional and didactic competence of the teacher, study resources to support student learning, material and technical equipment of teaching and to ensure that students are informed about the various challenges (Erasmus+, conferences, scholarships, etc.) - the questions are formulated in accordance with ESG 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

b) - Results of student feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

Relevant parts of the evaluated results are provided to individual teachers and the summative evaluations for each department are delivered to supervisors. Heads of department individually address any problems that have arisen.

If necessary, the person who has the relevant competencies and has the main responsibility for the implementation, development and quality assurance of the study programme makes a proposal for revision or preventive measures in accordance with the internal regulation 21/2013 Quality Assurance of Education at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (as amended).

Based on the assessment of each area and the deficiencies identified, actions are proposed and taken, usually included in the faculty action plany in the are of education and implemented as part of the study program adaptations.

The report on student evaluation of teachers at the Faculty of Central European Studies is also discussed by the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Central European Studies and the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Central European Studies.

The results of the student evaluation feedback are processed and published on the faculty's website:

https://www.fss.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/uradna-tabula/hodnotenia-studentmi https://www.fss.ukf.sk/sk/uradna-tabula/vyrocne-spravy

c) - Results of graduate feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

In 2019, the Faculty of Central European Studies of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra organised an online survey for graduates of the faculty. The data collection was carried out with the help of an anonymous online questionnaire. Statistical analysis of the graduates' responses was performed using EvaSys.

https://www.fss.ukf.sk/images/dokumenty/hodnotenie/sprava_hodnotenie_vzdelavania_absolventmi_2019_FSS.pdf

https://www.fss.ukf.sk/images/dokumenty/hodnotenie/Sledovanie_kariery_absolventov_fakulty_2019.pdf

The questionnaires consisted of 6 sections with questions focused on the evaluation of the different areas of study and the position of the graduates in the labour market.

Using the data obtained through the graduates' evaluation of their education, it was easier to identify potential problems that became apparent only after the graduates had entered the labour market. The department also monitors the employability of graduates of the study programme through external sources of information that provide information on the employability of graduates in the field: https://uplatnenie.sk/.

Graduates of the study programme are also invited to various professional events and conferences organised by the faculty or the department, e.g. as guests at the University Open Day, SVOČ, or workshops and conferences organised by the department.

Proposals for changing the study programme were also made based on the results of feedback from its graduates.
