The universal objective of educating future professionals in social work is to prepare graduates for their rapid integration and optimal functioning in relevant areas of social practice. The primary learning objective is to create the preconditions for formulating new hypotheses and developing strategies for further research and development of knowledge in the field of social work, analysis and interpretation of resolving societal problems, as well as the application of scientific findings as proposals for current applied practice.

The graduate has a comprehensive set of knowledge and is effectively oriented in the theory and methodology of science, in modern theoretical concepts of social work, including social exclusion theories, and in the field of new social policy trends. He/she can actively and independently acquire new knowledge, critically evaluate the development of theories and approaches related to the field in the world and apply the acquired knowledge for his/her work and the development of the field of social work. He/she uses independent and critical thinking and is able to apply it in research work. He/she can formulate a research topic and a dominant theory to rely on, choose an optimal method; accepts ethical requirements and rules of research and publication; can interpret his/her scientific outcomes in professional discussion and search for possibilities for their application in practice. The graduate understands and is able to integrate knowledge of philosophy, sociology, law, psychology, and psychotherapy into various approaches in social work, can identify individual theoretical concepts of counselling and supervision. He/she knows theoretical concepts of power and can apply critical thinking on the issue of power in helping professions, is trained to apply intercultural concepts in his/her scientific, research and practical work. The graduate acquires the prerequisites for scientific work in the field of social work and in some related fields, can formulate hypotheses and strategies for research and development within the field.

b) - The institution indicates the professions for which the graduate is prepared at the time of completion and the potential of the study programme from the point of view of graduate's employability.

Graduates meet the qualification requirement to carry out professional activities of social work (Social Work Act No. 219/2014 Coll. (5) (1) (b)), in all existing areas of practice, for example, in the fields of social services, social counselling, assessment activities, social and legal protection and social guardianship, employment, etc.

Graduates acquire the prerequisites for scientific work in the field of social work and in some related fields. They may work at universities as assistant professors, in post-doctoral positions, as well as in scientific institutions holding such positions.

Graduates have the prerequisites to apply research scientific methods in the field and specific paradigms of social work in practice.

Focusing on the concept of social inclusion, they can work in various national and international research teams (for example: national projects implementing inclusive approaches; at the Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for Roma Communities, the Office of the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for National Minorities, etc.). Also as researchers in ministries or other state institutions – for example, in research institutes of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (MPSVR SR), the Implementation Agency MPSVR SR, etc.

c) - Relevant external stakeholders who have provided the statement or a favorable opinion on the compliance of the acquired qualification with the sector-specific requirements for the profession.

It is not on the list of regulated professions. From the point of view of qualifications, the performance of social work is regulated by the Act No. 219/2014 Coll. The Act on social work and conditions for performing certain professional activities in the field of social affairs and family and on amendments to certain acts. That Act defines an essential requirement of professional competence for the performance of social work: acquired master’s degree in social work. For the performance of certain specialised activities, the Act defines special qualifications. The following institutions provided a statement on the compliance of the acquired qualification with the sector-specific occupational requirements:

Slovenská komora sociálnych pracovníkov a asistentov sociálnej práce

Asociácia vzdelávateľov v sociálnej práci.

3. - Employability
a) - Evaluation of the study programme graduates employability.

The field of study Social Work meets all the legislative requirements of the Act No. 219/2014 Coll. on social work, which specifies the competences (knowledge, skills, and qualifications) required of the social worker.

Graduates of social work of the third degree of study are employable in the social field of the state administration, self-government and in the field of the third sector. The most important representations are within the five key departments – the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, and the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic.

The University obtains information about achievements of its graduates by using several forms. Through the Alumni Club, the organisation of further education and rigorous proceedings for graduates, the organisation of courses, trainings, for example in projects supported by the ESF. Many graduates of the study programmes cooperate with the Faculty as assistants or guide the student’s experience in a facility/institution. The graduates are invited to various professional events and conferences organized by the Faculty or the University. The graduates’ opinions about their studies and professional path are published on the websites of the Faculty and the University, in the media and presentation materials of the Faculty and the University.

We also obtain information on the employability of graduates of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra from the resources listed at https://uplatnenie.sk/. Since two students on average complete their doctoral studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care in an academic year, the information is not provided on this website due to the low number of students.

The first graduates of doctoral studies in social work at the Faculty graduated in 2007. Since then, doctoral studies at the Faculty have been carried out continuously. In the last three academic years (2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021), eight students successfully completed their doctoral studies, including seven full-time and one part-time students. After their graduation, seven graduates have worked in the social field or have been doing the work in which they apply their education. One graduate works outside the social sphere.

c) - Evaluation of the study programme quality by employers (feedback).

External parties representing potential employers were involved in the process of creating a study programme in the field of Social Work. Two working groups were set up, whose members included representatives of organisations, facilities and institutions working in the field of social work. In the process of needs mapping, representatives of employers were approached, including the partner organizations cooperating with the Department of Social Work and Social Sciences in providing specialized professional experience for students, and the representatives of experts – the Slovak Chamber of Social Workers and Social Work Assistants, the Association of Social Work Educators, some departments of the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, the Prison and Judicial Guard Service, and non-governmental entities. The contacted entities commented on the quality of the studies provided in the field of Social Work at the Faculty and evaluated it positively. They appreciated the training for students through training of social and counselling skills, cooperation. They consider shaping motivation to perform social work and linking education with professional practice to be important. Since the employers focused on education in the first two levels of higher education, we addressed the employers of our graduates through a questionnaire when creating a third-grade study programme. The employers expressed satisfaction with the employed graduates. In the area of acquired knowledge and skills, they most often use their organisational skills, scientific and research skills. The graduates participate in the creation and implementation of projects and publication of the results of research work. One employer also mentioned the development of the workplace by setting new intervention opportunities for working with children and youth. In the field of improving the quality of the study programme, they recommend the involvement of students in practice already during their studies in specific workplaces.

4. - Structure and content of the study programme
a) - The institution describes the rules for the design of study plans within the study programme.

The study plan is designed and published in the Academic Information System (hereinafter AIS).

The creation of the study plan was carried out in accordance with the processes of creation and adaptation of study programmes specified in the internal document of the Faculty 02/2021, available at: https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/images/Syst%C3%A9m_riadenia_kvality_FSVaZ.pdf. It followed the valid legislative regulations (Act No. 269/2018 Coll. on quality assurance of higher education as amended; Standards for the Study Programme – Accreditation Agency, 2020) and internal documents of the University (UKF Študijný poriadok, CPU directive 31/2021 Metodika tvorby študijných programov na UKF). Its content is in accordance with the description of the field Social Work for the third degree.

In the process of preparation, the study plan was consulted with representatives of students and employers, and the findings of the survey were used – mapping of needs focused on representatives of practice, but also institutions and other experts working in the field.

The study plan defines compulsory, compulsory optional and optional courses in both the study and scientific parts, including the courses of state examinations to guarantee access to current knowledge, skills, and competences, including transferable competences, defined by the profile of the graduate of the study programme and sector-specific expectations. Profile courses comprehensively cover the expected outcomes from education in accordance with the profile of the graduate of the study programme and are in accordance with the focus of persons teaching the courses. Usually, the profile courses are taught by professors or associate professors. The study programme contains up-to-date topics that are relatively new in social work and require scientific attention (social inclusion, multicultural society); they are also topics the teachers have research and educational experience with.

b) - The institution compiles the recommended study plans for individual study paths.

The Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra compiled the study plans in accordance with the Decree No. 614/2002 Coll. on the study credit system and the Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts.

d) - The institution states the number of credits, the achievement of which is a condition for proper completion of studies and other requirements that the student must meet within the study programme and for its proper completion, including the requirements for state examinations, rules for re-study and rules for the extension, interruption of study.
Doctoral studies are defined in Študijný poriadok doktorandského štúdia which specifies the conditions for organising doctoral studies, student assessment, including state examinations (https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/organizacia-studia/studijny-poriadok-doktorandskeho-studia). Doctoral studies are monitored and evaluated by a field committee which has five members, including a study programme guarantor. To successfully complete the studies, it is necessary for the student to complete all compulsory courses and the prescribed number of compulsory optional and optional courses, successfully defend the dissertation and take the state examination in the course Dissertation Examination. It is necessary to obtain 180 credits for successful completion of the doctoral studies programme. Credits for the state examination are also included in the number of credits. The compulsory course of the state examination in the second year of studies is Dissertation Examination (6 credits), which includes defence of the dissertation project, and the examination in Methodology of Social Sciences and Social Work Theories, and Theoretical Concepts of Social Counselling and Supervision. As a standard, in the third year of studies, Dissertation and its Defence (30 credits) is a compulsory course by which the studies are completed. The standard workload of the doctoral student for the whole academic year in full-time form of study is expressed in the number of 60 credits, 30 credits per semester. The doctoral student may be enrolled for the next year if he/she has obtained at least half of the standard workload according to the given study programme in the previous year. The studies are carried out according to the individual study plan of the doctoral student under the guidance of a supervisor. The study plan of doctoral studies consists of the study and scientific parts. The doctoral student completes all compulsory courses from the study and scientific parts of the study plan, compulsory optional courses in the minimum of 15 credits in the study part and 15 credits in the scientific part. He/she chooses optional courses or other courses in the offer of other study programmes or other courses in the offer of study programmes of other faculties or higher education institutions. Their selection is subject to the need to obtain the specified number of credits at a given stage of studies. Every year, an interim evaluation of doctoral students is carried out before the committee for annual assessment; the doctoral student presents the specified outcomes of his/her work and individual study plan. Failure to carry out an annual evaluation in an academic year is considered a non-fulfilment of the conditions of studies and is a reason for termination of the doctoral student’s studies. During the studies, the doctoral student may re-enrol for a compulsory course that he/she has failed. After the second unsuccessful attempt to complete a compulsory course, the student is excluded from the studies. In exceptional and justified cases, the Dean may authorise the repeated enrolment for the course. The student can also re-enrol for a compulsory optional course that he/she has failed, or he/she can choose another compulsory optional course. After the second unsuccessful attempt to complete the same compulsory optional course, the student is excluded from the studies. The student can re-enrol for an optional course that he/she has failed or may choose another optional course. The student has the right to deregister from the examination date no later than one day before the specified date. If the student withdraws from the written or oral part of the examination after the start of the examination, if he/she does not show up without prior apology or seriously violates the rules for obtaining credits, the examination result is evaluated by FX. For serious reasons, especially medical reasons, the student can also apologise additionally, but not later than three working days from the specified examination date. Recognition of the reasons for the apology shall be decided by an examiner. The minimum number of credits for applying for the state examination in the second year of studies is 60 credits in total from the study and scientific parts; Študijný poriadok defines the latest date of completion of the state examination. Prior the state examination, the doctoral student is obliged to prove his/her professional language proficiency in English. Language proficiency is verified by completing a compulsory course from the study plan or by a diploma or certificate of completion of language training at an appropriate level at an accredited domestic or foreign institution. The state examination is intended to demonstrate that the doctoral student has deep knowledge in the relevant field of research, is able to acquire and present new knowledge of science and practice independently and is able to apply the acquired knowledge in a creative way in practice and research. The state examination also includes the defence of the dissertation project, which consists of the objectives of the dissertation, containing the theoretical background of its future solution, the current state of knowledge on the issue, including a literary overview, analysis of the methodological approach of resolving the given issue. If the doctoral student does not pass the state examination, the examination can be repeated no earlier than after two months and can be repeated only once. After repeated evaluation of the examination “Did not pass”, the Dean excludes the student from further studies. If the doctoral student cannot participate in the specified time, he/she shall apologise in advance to the chairperson of the Committee who shall specify an alternative date. If the doctoral student does not participate in the state examination for no good reason, it has the same consequences as if he/she did not pass. The minimum required number of credits for applying for Dissertation and its Defence at the end of studies is 150 credits; also in this case Študijný poriadok defines the latest deadline for applying for the final defence. Before submitting the final version of the dissertation, it is necessary to complete an internal defence of the dissertation before the Committee, which is stated by the chairperson of the Committee. As a rule, the doctoral student writes his/her dissertation in Slovak. With the Dean’s consent, he/she can submit a dissertation in a language other than Slovak. Instead of a dissertation, he/she can also submit his/her own published work or a set of his/her own published scientific papers, which, by their content, elaborate on the topic of the dissertation. If the doctoral student submits a set of his/her own publications, he/she shall provide the detailed introduction stating the current state of the issue, the objectives of the dissertation and his/her own contribution in the relevant field of science. If the publications are the work of several authors, the doctoral student shall also attach the statements by the co-authors of his/her author share. Together with his/her dissertation, the doctoral student submits other required documents (according to Študijný poriadok doktorandského štúdia), including the summary and the list of publications. The dissertation is assessed by two opponents and the supervisor; opponents are named by the chairperson of the Committee on the proposal of the supervisor. The reports are recorded in the AIS in the specified form. The student can only defend his/her dissertation if at least the supervisor and one opponent or two opponents recommend the dissertation to be defended (they assess it with a grade other than FX). As a rule, the defence of the dissertation takes place in the presence of the supervisor and opponents in the CPU workplace before the State Examination Committee appointed by the Dean. The members of the Examination Committee may be professors, associate professors, and researchers with a recognised qualification level I or IIa, working in the area related to the field of study. As a rule, the chairperson of the Examination Committee is the chairperson of the relevant field committee, guarantor, or co-guarantor of the relevant study programme. The supervisor is also a member of the Examination Committee. The Examination Committee shall have at least four members. The defence of the dissertation is public. It takes the form of a scientific debate between the doctoral student, opponents, members of the Examination Committee and other participants in the defence on the findings and the contribution of the dissertation. The defence of the dissertation may be carried out in attendance, in combination or in distance. The doctoral student whose defence of the dissertation or unexcused absence from the defence has been assessed by the Examination Committee by FX classification level may reapply for the defence in the same study programme no earlier than one year after the date on which the defence of the dissertation took place or should have taken place. The defence of the dissertation can be repeated only once. Doctoral studies may be interrupted at the request of the student in justified cases. The interruption of studies is usually permitted by the Dean for whole months. During the interruption of studies, the doctoral student is not entitled to scholarship. More detailed information on requirements to be met during doctoral studies by the doctoral student, his/her assessment, including state examinations and rules for re-study and rules for the extension, interruption of studies is stated in internal documents of the CPU: Študijný poriadok doktorandského štúdia: https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/organizacia-studia/studijny-poriadok-doktorandskeho-studia Śtudijný poriadok UKF v Nitre: https://www.ukf.sk/images/univerzita/Uradna_tabula/Studijny_poriadok_uplne-znenie_23_11_2020.pdf
e) - For individual study plans, the institution states the requirements for completing the individual parts of the study programme and the student's progress within the study programme in the given structure:

For proper completion of studies, the doctoral student must obtain a total of minimally 180 credits. During studies, the student shall obtain a total of 48 credits for compulsory courses in the study part and 35 credits in the scientific part. For compulsory optional courses, it is necessary to obtain minimally 15 credits for the study part and 15 credits for the scientific part. The total number of credits for compulsory optional courses is 80 credits for the study part and 75 credits for the scientific part.

For optional courses, the student can obtain five credits in the study part and 40 credits in the scientific part.

Credits necessary for enrolment for the higher year, applying for the state examination in the second year of studies and defending the dissertation in the third year can be obtained by the doctoral student from the compulsory optional courses offered beyond the specified minimum number of credits and from optional courses.

In the second year of studies, the doctoral student takes state examinations for 6 credits. The student obtains 30 credits for the dissertation and its defence at the end of studies.

f) - The institution describes the rules for verification of learning outcomes, students assessment and the possibilities of appealing against the assessment.

The possibilities of appealing are defined in the inner document Študijný poriadok UKF, available at: https://www.ukf.sk/images/univerzita/Uradna_tabula/Studijny_poriadok_uplne-znenie_23_11_2020.pdf

Furthermore, in justified cases, the student has the right to ask the Dean for an examination by a committee.

g) - Conditions for recognition of studies or a part of studies.

Conditions for recognition of studies or a part of studies are stated in the internal document Študijný poriadok UKF, available at: https://www.ukf.sk/images/univerzita/Uradna_tabula/Studijny_poriadok_uplne-znenie_23_11_2020.pdf

The head of the workplace where the student applies for recognition of the completion shall comment on the application for recognition of completed courses. The head of the department may ask the guarantor of the study programme for an opinion. In the statement, the guarantor shall indicate whether the content of the completed course covers the content of the course for which the student is applying for recognition. The head of the department will then make a recommendation on the recognition/non-recognition of the completion of the course. The Dean of the Faculty may, on the recommendation of the head of the department, recognize the completion of the course if it is a course with the same content at the same level of studies, not more than three years passed since its completion, it is part of the study programme, was evaluated by grade from A to D or passed, and the number of credits is not lower than in the current study programme. A maximum of 50 % of the nominal number of credits needed to successfully complete the study programme studied by the student can be recognised.

The Department of Social Work and Social Sciences offers students a wide range of possibilities to study at foreign universities. It is part of the SocNet98 network, which currently brings together 18 university workplaces focusing on social work. It already has interinstitutional Erasmus+ agreements with most partners and will sign new agreements with others in the next programming period and will also expand the offer for doctoral students. They currently can study based on IIA at three universities in Germany, Poland, and Greece.

Rules for adherence to academic ethics and drawing consequences

The rules for adherence to academic ethics and drawing consequences are regulated by Etický kódex UKF:

https://www.ukf.sk/images/univerzita/O_univerzite/2016-Eticky-kodex-UKF.pdf

Etický kódex defines the ethical standards of the University and its purpose is to prevent wrongdoing.

The Faculty defines the consequences of a violation of academic ethics in Disciplinárny poriadok. Complaints are accepted and violations are investigated by Disciplinárna komisia FSVaZ UKF, which includes the representatives of students. Disciplinárna komisia consists of eight members, half of whom are students. All processes are described in Rokovací poriadok disciplinárnej komisie https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/vnutorne-predpisy-fakulty/disciplinarny-a-rokovaci-poriadok.

Doctoral students study the rules for adherence to academic ethics in several courses during their studies. Part of learning outcomes is knowledge of academic ethics and the ability to apply the rules of academic ethics, for example, in the courses such as Introduction to Doctoral Studies, Public Presentation, and Methodology of Social Sciences. Supervisors provide students with support and supervision in the field of publishing ethics – credits for relevant courses in the scientific part (their output is professional or scientific publication) will be awarded only for papers that have been created in accordance with ethics.

Procedures applicable to students with special needs

Procedures aimed at supporting students with special needs are defined by an internal document aimed at promoting and ensuring generally accessible academic environment for students with special needs:

28/2015 Vnútorný predpis k zabezpečeniu všeobecne prístupného akademického prostredia pre študentov so špecifickými potrebami

Support services are provided by Centrum pre študentov UKF:

https://www.ukf.sk/sc

https://www.ukf.sk/sc/poradenstvo-a-podpora-pre-studentov-so-specifickymi-vzdelavacimi-potrebami

The CPU in Nitra, by its statute, directives, and other regulations, ensures optimal conditions for studies of intact students with special needs.

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care has coordinators for working with students with special educational needs, who provide these students with support in dealing with the problems that arise, provide coordinated support through the acquisition of individualized teaching aids in cooperation with the Faculty Secretary and the CPU Coordinator for Students with Special Educational Needs. At the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care, students with special needs are coordinated by doc. PhDr. Marta Popelková, PhD. and Vice-Dean for Education PhDr. Dana Zrubcová, PhD.

Procedures for filing complaints and appeals by students

The procedures for filing and investigating complaints are regulated by the internal document 12/2017 Smernica o sťažnostiach a petíciách na UKF:

https://www.ukf.sk/intranet/vnutorne-predpisy/73-moja-ukf/3072-vnutorne-predpisy-2017

The investigation of the complaints and appeals of students and applicants is ensured at the level of the Rectorate at Referát kontroly:

The University is part of the EDUROAM project, which provides staff and students with access to the WiFi network at other academic institutions without having to be registered or obtaining access data. Connecting to the network requires only the persons’ username and password they use in the home institution. In all premises of the University, WiFi on the EDUROAM network and Internet access are available to students (all premises are almost completely covered by wireless connection, and all computers provide Internet connection). All information and installation procedures are available here:

https://www.ukf.sk/helpdesk/wifi

Principles for the use of the computer network:

https://www.ukf.sk/helpdesk/zasady-pouzivania-pocitacovej-siete

In addition, under the agreement of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic and Microsoft, Microsoft Office 365 Education is available for each of our students and staff:

https://www.ukf.sk/helpdesk/office-365-education

Information systems to support communication used by students and educators are conducted via university e-mail: https://www.ukf.sk/helpdesk/elektronicka-posta

Information Systems (IS)

The University has the following systems for the management, storage, and evaluation of information, including the added value, which it uses in accordance with strategic and operational objectives:

1.        Academic Information System (AIS2) – is currently used to record comprehensive information about the study programme (study plans, course information sheets, research/art/teacher profile of a person, records of students and comprehensive information about their admission procedure and studies, final theses, state examinations). The University creates timetables through the AIS and conducts assessment of programmes, educators, and studies by students. Through the AIS, data is provided to the Central Register of Students and the Central Register of Final Theses, The University Portal. At the management level, the AIS serves as a resource for teaching reporting and for measuring the educational performance of workplaces and their offer of studies. Furthermore, the information collected in the AIS serves as an essential source for accreditation and the creation of a study offer.

2.        Videoconferencing system (meet) - https://meet.ukf.sk/ - the system serves to provide online and distance teaching and assessment of students, as well as to conduct online state examinations at the time of controlled distance learning. It is also used to provide online connections with students for consultation purposes and to address other study duties and group activities.

3.        Educational portal (EDU) - https://edu.ukf.sk/

4.        Library Information System (KIS) - https://kis.ukf.sk/opacXE

5.        Catering portal - https://www.stravovanie.ukf.sk/

6.        Accommodation system (UIS) - https://uis.ukf.sk/

7.        Web mail for staff and students - https://posta.ukf.sk/webmail/

8.        University website - https://www.ukf.sk/

9.        Faculty website - https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/

All information systems communicate with the user through a secure channel. To simplify access and minimize the possibilities of theft of access data, central authentication has been deployed, which through the LDAP stores the access data of staff and students and allows them to be verified upon request from all information systems.

Learning and improvement activities promotion is ensured at the level of knowledge management (KIS, the CPU University Library database, or educational materials are provided by part of the workplaces through e-learning courses); learning and improvement activities promotion (existence of computer laboratories – each faculty has several such classrooms); Internet access (all premises are almost completely covered by wireless connection, and all computers provide Internet access).

Interaction with students is ensured through the AIS, e-mail communication, web presentations of the University, faculties, and faculty workplaces. In selected periods, promotion is used through print media, workshops, and open days. The sharing and provision of information at the level of educational content (e-learning, Library services, education management) are provided through electronic services 24 hours a day. All university information systems are connected to the Unified User Administration System (Orig. Systém jednotnej správy používateľov, LDAP), allowing access to all systems with the same login data.

c) - Characteristics and extent of distance education applied in the study programme with the assignment to courses. Access, manuals of e-learning portals. Procedures for the transition from contact teaching to distance learning.

E-learning systems

Education system EDU https://edu.ukf.sk/

It is the CPU e-learning portal, which provides automatic access to all CPU students and educators. It implies the support of all courses and sharing of study materials for students. It supports easy submission of tasks and assignments and ensures clear communication in forums. It has sophisticated possibilities of online knowledge testing.

Videoconferencing system (meet) - https://meet.ukf.sk/ - the system serves to ensure online and distance teaching and assessment of students, as well as to conduct online state examinations at the time of controlled distance learning. It is also used to provide online connections with students for consultation purposes and to address other study duties and group activities. All communication via the CPU Meet app is fully encrypted.

Distance learning is also possible via MS TEAMS, which is part of Office 365 with CPU licensing support.

d) - Institution partners in providing educational activities for the study programme and the characteristics of their participation.

Teaching in doctoral studies is in competence of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care staff.

The University of Constantine the Philosopher supports the cultural and sport activities of students. Student activities are also concentrated in university associations and clubs.

Culture

In the premises of the Student Home Nitra there is the University Creative Studio. It is an integrating cultural point of university students and their artistic bodies for the rehearsal and implementation of productions, various scenic projects, and cultural events. The Studio is also used for pedagogical process (creative workshops, seminars, trainings, workshops) of artistical and artistical-educational study programmes in the University.

Folklore ensemble Ponitran is an artistic ensemble with the longest history at the University and focuses on traditional Slovak folklore specialising in the Ponitrie area. The mission of the ensemble is to develop the leisure activities of students, to follow up on the traditional culture of Slovakia, to interpret it artistically and to collect folklore material from various areas of Slovakia, especially from the Nitra and Tekov regions.

Student theatre VYDI was founded in 1992. During one academic year, it usually studies one production that students perform for a domestic audience at the University Creative Studio, Faculty of Arts, CPU. They also take part in various regional shows and thematic festivals. The activities of students in this ensemble are not only related to the creation of theatrical productions, but also to a diverse range of variable activities within the academic year: improleagues, stand up performances, street parades, Nicholas parties, May parties, cabarets, matriculation, workshops, etc.

The civic association JA a MY organises cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, scientific conferences, seminars, discussion forums, round tables, discussions, as well as prepares and organises alternative art projects in the national and international context, with an emphasis on supporting the comprehensive artistic development of the region. The association supports emerging artists, publicists, and artistic scientists to enable them to publicly present their creative and scientific activities. The most famous activity of the association is organization of the Peter Scherhaufer Festival.

The Hungarian CPU choir successfully represents the University at domestic and foreign concert stages, choir festivals and competitions. Regularly, it is awarded Zlaté pásmo at the nationwide qualification competition of choirs Kodályove dni in Galanta. The choir regularly performs, and its aim is to cultivate and further revive Kodály traditions, as well as the spread of Hungarian choral culture, primarily among university youth. The choir is currently active at the Faculty of Central European Studies, CPU.

To ensure quality studies and extracurricular life, Constantine the Philosopher University provides its students with various services: (https://www.ukf.sk/studium/sluzby-studentom

The Pavol Strauss University Pastoral Centre in Nitra (UPC) was opened at the CPU in December 2008. Its main goal is to provide pastoral care and spiritual assistance to students and staff of Nitra universities, institutions, and student homes (www.upcnitra.sk).

The Student Centre (SC) offers students counselling and services to support their activities outside the teaching process. Centralised counselling includes spiritual, financial, career, psychological, legal, social counselling, health promotion, and counselling for students with special educational needs (https://www.ukf.sk/sc).

f) - Possibilities and conditions for participation of the study programme students in mobilities and internships (indicating contact details), application instructions, rules for recognition of this education.

Students of all levels and forms of studies may participate in Erasmus+ mobility programmes. They can choose a student mobility for studies or student mobility for traineeship. The period of study abroad in a partner institution of higher education is part of the student’s study programme for obtaining a degree at all levels of studies. Student mobility for traineeship (work placement) abroad takes place in an institution/enterprise or other workplace relevant to students of the study programme and recent graduates.

The period of studies abroad may also include the period of student mobility for traineeship. Such a combination creates synergies between academic and professional experience abroad and can be organised in different ways depending on the environment: either as consecutive activities or as parallel activities taking place at the same time. For such combination, the funding rules and the minimum length of mobility for studies shall be respected. Duration of studies: from three to 12 months (including the period of additional student mobility for traineeships, if planned); and of traineeships: from two to 12 months.

The application process for Erasmus+ mobility is carried out through the studyabroad.sk application. The CPU in Nitra is involved in the STUDYABROAD project, which provides electronic administration of the whole process.

1 Registration – an Erasmus+ university mobility applicant fills in an online application form, attaches the required documents and sends the application electronically.

2 Verification – the department coordinator checks the application with the attachments in the administration, if necessary, the coordinator returns it to the student for completion.

3 Selection process – after accepting the application by the coordinator, the application goes through the selection process and, if approved, is finalised by signing a contract for the provision of a financial contribution.

The department usually uses criteria in the selection procedure and nomination: grade point average, language knowledge, other beneficial school or extracurricular activities, year of studies, disabled student status, student from socially disadvantaged background and others, and makes a list of successful and unsuccessful applicants. The Faculty Coordinator accepts students, if possible, for the foreign institution and in the order as nominated by the department in the minutes of the selection procedure and in the number allowed by the overall faculty Erasmus quota. Then, the mobility is approved at the CPU level.

4 Mobility implementation – every student approved for Erasmus+ studies shall search for Erasmus student documents on the website of a partner institution abroad (for the relevant institution). Usually, the student needs the following documents to arrange his/her studies at a partner institution:

a)     Application form – a form of the foreign partner institution,

b)     Learning Agreement for Studies (SAAIC form for student mobility for the academic year concerned),

c)      Exam result report at CPU – a copy of the Diploma Supplement (if it is a master’s or doctoral student) or exam result report from the AIS in Slovak is submitted if the student travels to the Czech Republic or in English if he/she travels to other countries,

d)     Other specific forms of the partner institution (e.g., Application for accommodation, Application for a language course, Application for an orientation week, Application for a student card, etc.).

An approved student mobility for studies under the Erasmus+ programme becomes part of the proper student’s studies at the CPU in Nitra, so the courses completed during mobility abroad should be as closely matched as possible with the courses the student has in the study plan at the CPU. Therefore, in the Learning Agreement for Studies form, in consultation with the head of the department, he/she lists the courses he/she plans to take during mobility abroad and the courses of his/her study programme at the CPU, for which the courses completed during mobility abroad shall be recognised. The information about the courses that he/she can study during mobility is available on the website of the partner institution abroad or sent to the student on request. During mobility abroad, the CPU student must obtain minimally 20 ECTS from the courses he/she has listed in the Learning Agreement for Studies.

5 Report – during mobility or after it, the applicant shall submit other necessary documents, according to the coordinator’s request.

https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/vnutorne-predpisy-fakulty/vnutorny-system-kvality

b) - Results of student feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

The evaluation of education and teachers is carried out twice a year electronically through a questionnaire in the Academic Information System. At the same time, representatives of students working in Rada študentov conduct interviews in focus groups focused on the educational process and on the process of evaluating learning outcomes – awarding formative assessment and examination process. All students and pedagogical staff of the Faculty are familiar with the implementation of the assessment. Also, the management of the Faculty creates conditions that allow students to seamlessly exercise their right to evaluate education. All students of the Faculty can participate in the evaluation and can evaluate courses they have in the study plan and complete in a particular semester. The public report on the evaluation for each academic year is published on the Faculty website https://www.fsvaz.ukf.sk/index.php/sk/o-studiu/hodnotenie-vzdelavania-studentmi. The evaluation carried out in the academic year 2019/2020 shows that the course information sheets contain clearly defined learning objectives and outcomes, and syllabi (81 %), and the courses are included in the study programme to provide new information. Students also positively perceived the fact that the content of the courses as presented in the course information sheets was fulfilled (87 %). In particular, students in their fields appreciate the sufficient numbers of compulsory optional and optional courses and the involvement of practitioners in the education process through invited lectures. Students also positively evaluated the implementation of education, especially the linking of academic education with practice and the overall effective use of teaching time (92 % of them expressed high satisfaction). Teachers’ attitude towards students is mostly evaluated positively; they especially appreciate the partner and respectful attitude (85 %), the availability of teachers (89 %) and the competence and expertise of teachers (93 %). Critical feedback related to improvement included student motivation and implementation of innovative educational methods.

In the process of preparing a consolidated study programme, full-time and part-time students of doctoral studies (Lýdia Gabčová, Zuzana Havírová) were addressed and provided feedback on the new study plan. They would appreciate the enhancement of courses aimed at developing a research plan, as well as preparation for public presentation, and a wider range of courses in the scientific part of the study programme, the output of which is a professional or scientific publication. Based on their suggestions, the proposed topics were included in the study plan. In general, the study programme, according to the students, meets the students’ requirements in terms of defined learning outcomes in relation to the national qualification framework.

c) - Results of graduate feedback and related measures to improve the study programme quality.

Graduates share their opinions about the completed study programme through online meetings with their former study supervisors. In the academic year 2019/2020, the Faculty carried out a questionnaire survey among recent graduates focused on their satisfaction with the studied programme. The graduates appreciated teachers’ partner attitude, and innovative and interactive methods of education.

Several doctoral studies graduates were involved in the process of creating a consolidated study programme and the content focus of individual courses listed in the course information sheets. The work meetings took place in the premises of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care on 28 September and 11 October 2021. The graduates of the Department of Social Work and Social Sciences also participated: Mgr. Vesna Tomášik, PhD., Mgr. Nina Jašeková, PhD., Mgr. Silvia Morávková, PhD. and Mgr. Jakub Pikna, PhD. The graduates provided feedback on their studies and proposals for the new study programme. At their studies, they appreciated the opportunity to participate in projects and preparation of scientific and charity events, the possibility of contacts with foreign universities, and the creation of space for regular field work or in practice. In relation to courses of their doctoral studies, they agreed on the importance of methodology – both in the study part of the study plan and in cooperation with the supervisor too. They would welcome the introduction to the didactics of social work, as they were also involved in teaching seminars, and a stronger linkage of their activities in the Department with the topic of their dissertation. Their observations and ideas have been considered and incorporated in the study plans and course information sheets and will be reflected in the cooperation between supervisors and doctoral students.
