The study plan is created in the academic information system (hereinafter AIS).
The study plan in the full-time form of study is created in such a way that the study according to the recommended study plan corresponds with the student's work in the range of 1,500 to 1,800 hours per academic year, depending on the study programme, including independent study and independent creative activity.
The standard student workload for the entire academic year in the full-time form of study is 60 credits, and 30 credits per semester.
The curriculum identifies compulsory, compulsory-optional and optional courses in order to guarantee access to up-to-date knowledge, skills and competences, including transferable competences, explicitly defined graduate profile and sector-specific professional expectations for the profession.
The study plan has designated and marked profile courses from the compulsory, compulsory-optional and optional courses of the study plan. The profile courses comprehensively cover the expected learning outcomes in accordance with the profile of the graduate of the study programme. Profile courses are provided by professors or associate professors.
The study plan for each course identifies:
a) Educational activities used (lecture, seminar, seminar, final thesis, project work, internship, state exam and others, or combinations thereof) suitable for achieving the learning outcomes;
b) Methods by which the educational activity is carried out (full-time, distance, combined) in accordance with the Course information sheets;
c) Workload of the student in the form of a time range of direct contact or non-contact teaching according to a specified method;
d) Credits so that the total number of credits corresponds with the standard workload, standard length and form of the study and corresponds with the workload related to direct learning activities and other learning activities in accordance with the credit system, where 1 credit corresponds with approximately 25 to 30 hours of work;
e) Teachers (responsible for teaching and final evaluation) whose qualifications and level of creative activities correspond with the level of education and the type of course; and whose practical experience, teaching skills, language and transferable skills enable students to achieve defined learning outcomes and correspond with the language of study programme. Each teacher involved in processes linked to teaching and evaluation of the programme has a scientific / artistic-pedagogical characteristic in the AIS in defined structure and language;
f) courses of the state examination; doctoral study programmes are usually completed by state examination and final thesis (dissertation) and its defence. There are 36 credits for taking the state examination, while the student is awarded 30 credits for the dissertation and its defence.
The optimal study plan for full-time study is set at the standard student workload - 30 credits per semester.
The creation of the study plan was carried out in accordance with the processes of creation and modification of study programmes specified in the internal regulation FSVaZ 02/2021 and governed by valid legislative regulations (Act No. 269/2018 Coll. The Student Centre (SC) offers students counselling services and services to support their activities outside the teaching process. Centralized counselling includes spiritual, financial, career, psychological, legal, social counselling, health counselling and support for students with special educational needs.
ERASMUS +
Master's degree students of Psychology have the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ mobility programmes. As part of the key activity KA1 (Mobility of Individuals), mobility studies and internships are carried out for students. Students have the opportunity to apply for Erasmus+ mobility in one of the EU and EEA countries, in the case of approval of a separate Erasmus+ project UKF also for mobility within countries outside the EU and EEA area. The Department of Psychological Sciences has concluded several bilateral agreements for study mobility, these are the following partner educational institutions: Charles University in Prague (CZ), Palacky University in Olomouc (CZ), Krakowska Akademia IM. Andrzej Frycz Modrzewskiego in Krakow (PL), Szkola Wyzsza Psychologii Spolecznej in Warszaw (PL), Latvijas Universitate v Riga (LV), Panepistimio Patron (GR) and Universitat de Valencia in Valencia (ES).
Erasmus + mobility programs are open to students of all levels and forms of study. They can choose a student mobility for studies or internship. The period of study abroad in a partner institution of higher education is a part of the study programme of a student for obtaining a degree in the first (II., III.) degree. The internship (work placement) abroad is carried out in an institution/company or other workplace relevant to students of the study programme and recent graduates.
The period of study abroad may also include an internship period. Such a combination creates synergies between academic and professional experience abroad and can be organized in different ways depending on the environment: either as successive activities or as parallel activities taking place at the same time. In the case of this combination, the rules of funding and the minimum length of study mobility are respected. Study period: From 3 to 12 months (including additional traineeship period if planned). Internships: from 2 to 12 months.
The process of arranging an Erasmus+ mobility stay is carried out via the studyabroad.sk application. UKF in Nitra is involved in the STUDY ABROAD project, which provides electronic administration of the entire process.
1. Registration - the person interested in Erasmus+ university mobility fills in the online application form, attaches the required documents and sends the application electronically.
2. Verification - the department coordinator in their administration will check the application with attachments, if necessary returns it to the student for completion.
3. Selection process - after the acceptance of the application by the coordinator, the application goes through the selection process and in case of approval it ends by concluding a contract for the provision of a financial contribution.
The department usually uses the following criteria in the selection and nomination process: study average, language skills, other beneficial school or extracurricular activities, year of study, student disability status, student from a socially disadvantaged environment etc. and creates a ranking of successful and unsuccessful applicants. By default, the faculty coordinator accepts students, if possible, to the foreign institution and in the order nominated by the department in the selection procedure and in the number allowed by the total faculty Erasmus quota. Subsequently, the mobility is approved at UKF level.
4. Realization of mobility - each student approved for Erasmus+ study will search on the website of the partner institution abroad (for which they have been approved for mobility) materials for Erasmus students. The student usually needs the following materials to complete their studies at the partner institution:
a) Application Form - own form of the foreign partner institution,
b) Learning Agreement for Studies (form prescribed by the SAAIC for student mobility for the relevant academic year),
c) Extract of results from studies at UKF - a copy of the Diploma Supplement is submitted (if it is a master's or doctoral student) or Extract of results from AIS in the Slovak language, if the student travels to the Czech Republic, or in English if traveling to all other countries,
d) Other specific forms of the given partner institution (e.g. Application for accommodation, Application for a language course, Application for an orientation week, Application for the issuance of a student card, etc.).
An approved study mobility within the Erasmus+ programme becomes a part of a full-time student study at UKF in Nitra, therefore the subjects completed during mobility abroad should correspond as much as possible with the subjects the has in their study plan at UKF. After the consultation with the head of the department, the student fills Learning Agreement for Studies form with the subjects he/she plans to complete during his/her mobility abroad and the subjects of his study program at UKF, for which the subjects completed during his mobility abroad are included. Information about the subjects the student can study during the mobility is published by the partner institution abroad on its website, or it is sent to the student upon request. During mobility abroad, a UKF student must obtain a minimum of 20 ECTS from the subjects listed in the Learning Agreement for Studies.
5. Report from the stay - during the stay, resp. at the end of the stay, the candidate will add other necessary documents, as requested by the coordinator.
